This Privacy Policy explains what data TextKit collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. TextKit is a set of browser-based utilities operated by the owner of textkit.tech ("we," "us," "our").
Every TextKit tool runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The text you paste, type, or generate is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not operate any server that receives, stores, or logs the content you enter into our tools. Closing the tab clears your text immediately.
While the text you enter into our tools stays private, we do collect limited information about your visit in order to operate the site and show advertising:
Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate usage such as page views, referrers, approximate geography, device type, and session duration. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include the text you enter into our tools. Google may process your IP address for these purposes.
Advertising (Google AdSense). We display ads served by Google AdSense and its partner network to keep TextKit free. To serve ads, Google and its third-party vendors may collect information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit, and device identifiers, and may set or read cookies on your device.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and operational purposes. We do not use these logs for tracking.
TextKit and its third-party service providers use cookies and similar technologies:
First-party cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors for analytics purposes.
Third-party cookies. Google AdSense and its partner ad networks may set cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve and measure advertising. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect some site features.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads to you based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This practice is often called "personalized" or "interest-based" advertising.
You may opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings. You may opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices or networkadvertising.org/choices.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for non-essential cookies and personalized ads) and our legitimate interest (for aggregated analytics and site security). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Consent management. For visitors from these regions, we use Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to collect, record, and transmit your choices regarding cookies and ad personalization in a way that complies with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2). On your first visit you will be asked to accept, refuse, or customize your consent. You may review or change your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Some advertising practices, including the use of cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. You may opt out of this activity by using the opt-out links in the "Third-party advertising" section above, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor.
TextKit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We do not retain the text you enter into our tools. It is never collected in the first place. Retention for analytics and advertising data is governed by the respective service providers; Google Analytics' default retention period is 14 months.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of TextKit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
